Perhaps the best journal of my year outdoors comes in the form of the photos I’ve taken along the way as I’ve hiked, fished and lived in the woods. And in recent years these photos have coalesced into the North Country Calendar, my annual showcase of some of the best photos taken generally from New England to Minnesota.
